Xi’an Restaurant opened in 1954. Its dishes are halal food, including fried dishes, flatbread in mutton soup (yangrou paomo) or in beef soup (niurou paomo). Paomo -- an aromatic, tasty and spicy bowl of shredded flatbread soaked in mutton or beef broth, is a specialty with a 3000-year history in the northwest. Xi’an Restaurant’s paomo draws on the essence of Laosunjia and Tongshengxiang, two of the most well-known peers in Xi’an, capital of Shaanxi province. Xi’an Restaurant is rated as “No. 1 Paomo Restaurant in Beijing”.
